There is no doubt that Cyndi Lauper is one of the most gifted but underrated and unappreciated songwriters. Her body of work produced many cover version performed by other gifted artists as well like Phil Collins who covered “True Colors,” Celine Dion with “I Drove All Night,” and Sussana Hoffs of The Bangles who did her own version of “Unconditional Love.” However, as time went on, her original output were scarce and fans had to rely on compilations for new recordings like this one.
