REVISITING AZTEC CAMERA’S FINAL ALBUM 20 YEARS AFTER.

It’s sad that they had to disband. For me, this band was one of the most consistent musically.

This album was the last one under the name of Aztec Camera as after this, the band chose to use the name of Roddy Frame as band name.  This album took of where its 1993 album Dreamland left in terms of musicality. It continued to be low key. In fact, it was so low keyed that many fans were not aware of this record which is quite a pity as this is as good as their 1991 album called Stray.

If this band did not appear during the New Wave era, they could have landed as one of the best alternative rock band during the nineties.  Aztec Camera is known for variety of themes on their records. They could be political like in “Good Morning Britain.”…
