POEMS MY MOTHER WROTE NUMBER 8

FAREWELL TO YESTERDAY

Adieu, my friend

Till then……….

But, neither ask me

To change the salty water

Into a soothing rain

Nor ask me to  brave

The stormy sea

And turn the tempest

Into a soothing breeze

Ask me not

To climb the trees

To play the wind

To sail the sea

Neither, shall I, climb the trees again

Nor play the wind

Nor ride the sea

Ask me not

To have a thousand more fun

Not even a promise

With a kiss of a feather

For how could I have some fun

When you are gone.
